Coastal Craft Buildings designs and delivers high-quality, affordable finished portable living units. built using Graceland Portable Buildings structural standards. Every unit is crafted for coastal durability, modern comfort, and flexible use โ€” including rentals, guest stays, and other residential-style applications where permitted.

๐Ÿก Manufacturer Structural Warranty

All Coastal Craft Buildings finished units are constructed using Graceland Portable Buildings structural specifications. Each unit includes a structural warranty that covers defects in materials or workmanship under normal use for the primary structural components, including:

  • Floor framing
  • Wall framing
  • Roof framing
  • Doors & windows (manufacturing defects only)

This warranty applies to the structure as delivered and does not extend to site conditions, placement requirements, or installation beyond delivery.

Exterior materials such as siding, trim, and roofing are covered under their respective manufacturer warranties. This may include:

  • Limited warranties on metal roofing
  • Duratemp siding manufacturer warranties
  • Window and door manufacturer guarantees

Exact coverage varies by material type and supplier. Manufacturer warranty documentation is provided where applicable.

๐ŸŽจ Interior Finish Warranty

Coastal Craft Buildings provides a one-year limited workmanship warranty on interior finish work completed in-house, including:

  • Drywall installation
  • Interior trim
  • Flooring installation
  • Interior paint
  • Electrical system installation (including panel)
  • Plumbing system installation (including tankless water heater)

This warranty covers defects in workmanship only and does not cover damage caused by use, abuse, environmental conditions, or third-party modifications.

To ensure transparency and clarity, the following items are not covered under any Coastal Craft Buildings warranty:

Environmental or site-related issues
  • Improper or inadequate site preparation
  • Ground settling shifting, or soil movement
  • Flooding, standing water, or drainage issues
  • Damage caused by storms, hurricanes, lightning, hail, or wind
  • Damage from falling trees, branches, or airborne debris
Wear & Tear / User Damage
  • Normal wear and tear
  • Damage caused by misuse, neglect, or improper maintenance
  • Damage resulting from alterations or repairs performed by third parties
  • Cosmetic damage caused during delivery if the site was not properly prepared
  • Damage caused by failure to maintain caulking, sealants, or finishes
Unmarked Utilities

Coastal Craft Buildings is not responsible for damage to unmarked or undisclosed underground utilities, including:

  • Septic systems
  • Sprinkler or irrigation lines
  • Water lines
  • Electrical or internet lines

All underground utilities must be clearly identified prior to delivery.

๐Ÿšš Delivery-Related Warranty Notes

Units are positioned and leveled at delivery based on buyer direction. To complete delivery safely, the following conditions must be met:

  • Ground must be reasonably level (within approximately three inches)
  • Delivery path must be clear and accessible
  • Buyer or authorized representative must be present to approve placement

Once the unit is placed, leveled, and delivery equipment is disconnected, delivery is considered complete.

Below are the most common questions customers ask about our warranty coverage.

01.What does my Coastal Craft building warranty cover?

Your building includes three layers of protection:

  • Structural Warranty: Covers the main framing (floors, walls, roof) and manufacturer defects in doors and windows.
  • Exterior Material Warranty: Roofing, siding, trim, and windows carry their own manufacturer warranties.
  • 1-Year Interior Workmanship Warranty: Covers drywall, trim, paint, flooring, electrical panel install, and plumbing/tankless water heater installation.
02.How long does the warranty last?
  • Structural components: follow the Graceland manufacturer warranty timeline.
  • Exterior materials: depend on the manufacturer of each product.
  • Interior finishes: are covered for 1 year from the delivery date.
03.What things are NOT covered by the warranty?

The following are not covered:

  • Improper or unlevel site preparation
  • Ground settling or shifting
  • Storm or weather-related damage
  • Flooding or poor drainage
  • Customer modifications or misuse
  • Normal wear and tear
  • Damage to unmarked underground utilities (sprinklers, septic, water lines, etc.)
04.What if my building becomes unlevel or starts to settle?

Settling can happen naturally depending on soil conditions.

Re-leveling is not covered under warranty, but we can recommend local services if needed.

05.Are roof leaks covered?

Leaks caused by a manufacturing defect may be covered.

Leaks caused by storms, customer modifications, or poor site drainage are not covered.

06.Are plumbing or electrical problems covered?

Yes โ€” if they are related to the original installation, they are covered under the 1-year workmanship warranty.

Issues from freezing, overloading circuits, or customer-installed additions are not covered.

07.Does the warranty cover interior water damage?

Interior water damage is covered only if it results from a covered defect.

Damage from storms, flooding, or unlevel sites is not covered.

08.What if something gets damaged during delivery?

If your delivery site is:

  • Clear
  • Accessible
  • Level within 3 inches

...then any delivery-related damage will be reviewed for coverage.

If the site was not ready or obstacles caused the issue, it is not covered.

09.Do I need to maintain my building to keep the warranty valid?

Yes. Basic maintenance is required, including:

  • Keeping the building level
  • Maintaining caulk and seals
  • Managing moisture and ventilation
  • Preventing pest intrusion
  • Repainting or staining as needed

Failure to maintain the building can void certain warranty protections.

10.How do I submit a warranty claim?
